Discoveries made in the technological field have made it possible for machines to be more efficient in aiding the end-users. The advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has opened up a multitude of opportunities for the integration of Context-Awareness (CA) in intelligent transportation systems (ITS).

This paper will discuss several themes in utilising AI and CA interactive systems. I will present the application of specialised systems with effective software architecture (SA) used in various systems to create a seamless and effective Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). These systems are observed in beacon technology, sensors and Informed Artificial Intelligence (IAI). I also discuss the utility of networks such as the Convolution Neural Network (CNN), Bayesian Network and Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANET) in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).

Finally, I will identify the role of different AI techniques and how they can be used to support network systems. The application of context-aware computing in AI and interactive systems will potentially contribute to the development of effective autonomous vehicles. Design in-vehicle interactive systems that bridge SA and HCI while interacting with sensors and networks in any given environment to ensure safety and comfort to users.
