This paper explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Context-Awareness (CA) into intelligent transportation systems (ITS). It discusses the application of specialised systems with effective software architecture (SA) to enhance the Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in various environments. The utility of networks such as Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Bayesian Networks, and Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) in ITS is also examined.

By identifying the role of different AI techniques, this research aims to contribute to the development of autonomous vehicles and in-vehicle interactive systems that prioritise safety and user comfort.
